Ronald Francis Browning

Candler - Ronald Francis Browning, 47, of 175 Fairmont Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 27, 2001. A native of Haywood County, he had resided in Buncombe County for 18 years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he had coached the ladies and mens softball teams, and the mens basketball team. He also coached in the Hominy Valley Youth Leagues. He was employed as a produce manager with Ingles Markets and was an US Army veteran. Mr. Browning was the son of Harold Browning of Waynesville and Judith Franklin Little of Asheville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Ray Browning, Sr. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Deborah Grooms Browning of the home; his children, George Nathaniel Browning, Ashley Elizabeth Ann Browning, Rachel Candace Browning, and Aaron James Browning all of the home. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr., Rev. Allen Rash and Rev. Jamey Grooms officiating. Pallbearers will be his cousins and the honorary pallbearers will be Michael Spears, Steven Hensley, Brent and Ryan Sharpton, and Adam Reed. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Monday In Piney Mtn. United Methodist Church Cemetery.
