Roger Edwards

Asheville Roger Dale Edwards, 71, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and retired in 1994 following 25 years of service from Philips Consumer Electronics (Magnavox). He loved auto shows and won numerous awards with his 1986 Chevrolet Truck. He was a son of the late Howard and Betty McCurry Edwards and was also preceded in death by his son, William Dale Edwards; sister, Patricia Edwards Rexroat and mother-in-law, Elsie Townsend. Surviving are his wife, Pat Edwards of the home; daughter-in-law, Ramona S. Edwards of Waynesville; brothers, Gary Edwards (Amanda) of Asheville and Rodney Edwards (Teresa) of Weaverville; sister-in-law, Sandra Townsend of Asheville; 3 aunts, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
