Robin Mashburn Hunnicutt

Robin Mashburn Hunnicutt, of Candler, passed away unexpectedly on August 26th, 2023.

Robin dedicated her life to taking care of her family and friends, caring, giving, and loving to the fullest every day. She served many colleagues and patients at Mission Hospital for the past 29 years as a surgical nurse, providing excellent care and compassion to those in need.

Those gone before her are her brother, Adam Mashburn; father, Lewis D. Mashburn; grandmother, Eula Calloway; great grandmother, Mintha Webb; her special dad, James Freeman; aunt, Janie Bailey; and "Uncle", Betty Sexton.

Robin is survived by her husband, Harold "Bud" Hunnicutt; sons, Joshua Hunnicutt, and Trenton Owen; mother, Judy Mashburn; brother, Bill Mashburn; mother in law, Dean Hunnicutt; sisters in love: Tammy Hunnicutt, Totty Cox, Lisa Plemmons, and Teresa Carver. Special nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7pm Friday, September 1st, 2023, at Hominy Baptist Church, 135 Candler School Road, Candler, NC 28715. The family will receive friends following the service.
