Robert T. "Bob" Garrison

Asheville Robert Thomas Bob Garrison, 90, of 213 Richmond Hill Drive passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Lenow, TN. He retired July 30, 1975 as Owner & Operator, along with his wife, of Garrison Self Services Phillips 66 Station, was former Manager of S.H. Kress and W.T. Grants, having worked 18 states and raised cattle. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church where he served on the Property Committee, a member and former President of Erwin District Lions Club, having received Lion of the Year and was a member of West Buncombe Fire Department where he had served as President of the Board of Directors. Mr. Garrison was a son of the late John Lonnie and Ruby Williams Garrison and husband of Juanita Rhodes Garrison who died May 4, 2004. Surviving are his sister, Melba Sharpe of Oakland, TN; brother, John L. Garrison of Cordova, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 A.M.
