Fletcher Robert Ernest Bob Forster, 87, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his residence. A native and resident most of his life of Buncombe County. Mr. Forster had resided in Henderson County for the past 25 years. He retired in 1987 from Southern Railway where he served as a Fireman and an Engineer and was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during WW II. He was a son of the late Homer Donald and Hazel Owen Forster and was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Forster. Surviving are his sisters, Mary Rose Hagood of Candler and Hilda K. Curd and husband, Bruce of Marion; one niece, two nephews, several great nephews and his dog and companion, HarBob. Military services will be held 10 AM Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team and Flag Presentation by the US Navy. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5:00 PM Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Guitars for Vets, P.O.
