Leicester Robert Kenneth Allison, 49, of 64 Noland Hill Drive went to be with his Lord Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Robert had served as Shop Supervisor with Levi International Company, was formerly employed with Mikes Auto and Asheville Industries, Inc. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Door Greeter, had served on Mission trips and was active with SPAN and the Outreach Ministries. He was a 1980 graduate of Erwin High School and a graduate of A-B Tech where he studied Tool & Die. Robert was a son of the late Kenneth Dillard Allison and Catherine Rosetta Kistner Allison. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jasper Jerome Allison and Eliza Lou Worley Allison and maternal grandparents, Albert Kissinger and Delores Peterson. Surviving are his wife, Arlene Medford Allison and her children, Vickey Buckner (Jack); and Rickey Plemmons (Monica) and her 4 grandsons and granddaughter, Tabatha Buckner; sister, Patty Allison Bowlin; brother, Dave Allison (Telma); several nieces and nephews and his love and canine companions, Sassy & Scooter. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Sam McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
