Ricky Lee Beachboard, aged 66, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 08, 2024. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished Pap, and dear friend to many.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, NC, Rick lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness shown to many. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering generosity to so many that he loved and cherished.
He was a graduate of the Enka High School class of 1977. Shortly after, Rick took his love and passion for working outdoors and opened a sawmill business, Rick’s Wood and Wedges. He was known for his hard work and dedication to all that knew and loved him. There was no job, no task; too big or small, that he couldn’t do. In 1989, Rick began constructing his dream home for his beloved wife and daughter, a log cabin perched atop the mountain in Starnes Cove. It was here that Rick raised his family.
In 2000, Rick rededicated his life and love to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by attending Deaverview Baptist Church. It was here that he began to nourish his spirit with the teachings of Jesus. In 2001, he was ordained as a Deacon at the church. His love for the Lord was unwavering, and even in the final days of his life, he held firmly to the belief that the Lord would help him through all challenges. “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect establish, strength and settle you. (1 Peter 5:10)
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Vicky Beachboard. His daughter, Nikki Vinciguerra (Travis), his loving granddaughters, Addison and Cassidy Vinciguerra. His Father, Herbert Beachboard and Sister Janice Luther (Fred), and several loving and cherished family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Dixie Beachboard. He touched the lives of so many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Anders Rice Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
The Beachboard family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and compassion shown over the years to their beloved husband and father by the staff of Care Partners Hospice which provided incredible support and care for Rick and his family during his final days.
