Richard Lanny Brockmeier

Swannanoa - Richard Lanny Brockmeier, 56, of 2126 Hwy. 70 went to be with his Lord Friday, August 1, 2003 after a brief illness. He was born in Cincinnati, OH March 11, 1947 to the Late William Edward Brockmeier and Myrtle McFalls Brockmeier. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Brockmeier. He leaves behind a wife, Barbara Creasman of the home; daughters, Veronica Crowe and husband Steve of Swannanoa, Victoria Solano and husband Randy of Swannanoa, Dawn Robertson and husband Ralph of Asheville, and daughter Tina Kuykendall of Swannanoa; son, Chris Fields of Asheville; step-daughter, Melissa Smith and husband Charlie of Black Mountain; step-son, Ray Morris and wife Lynn of Hendersonville; 21 grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Spake of Swannanoa and Jean Melton of Asheville; brothers, Chuck Brockmeier of Enka, Terry Brockmeier of Marion, and Bob Brockmeier of South Carolina; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday at Grovestone Baptist Church with the Rev. James Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Skyview Memorial Park. No graveside services will be held. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Veronica Crowe, 8 Lytle Cove Rd. Extn., Swannanoa.
