Arden - Richard Elmo Bradley, 83, of 4 Mulberry Drive passed away Friday - February 24, 2006 at his home after and extended illness. A native of Erwin, Tn., he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on th U.S.S. Sommers during WWII. He was employed by American Enka Corp for 35 years and the Biltmore Estate for 7 years and also volunteered as Assistant Fire Chief at the Enka Fire Department. He was the son of the late Worley O. and Millie Alice Robinette Bradley. He was preceded in death by his first wife Gladys Sparks of Erwin Tn., infant son Kenneth Richard Bradley; brother, Arthur Bradley; sisters, Edith Bradley Garland and Peggy Jo Bradley Mashburn. Surviving are his wife, Genevieve Bell Bradley of the home; daughter, Lorraine Lewis of Asheville; step daughter, Theresa Dickerhoof; Step son, Tommy Bell; sisters, Beatrice Bradley Miller and Mary Jane Bradley Mauk both of Erwin, TN; grandsons, Richard Brank and Bradley Lewis; granddaughter, Phaedra Meyer; step grandson, Tommy Bell; step granddaughter, Diana Katzenberger; great granddaughter; Alicia Brank; special cousin, Hubert Bradley of Erwin, Tn. and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Reardon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
