Richard "Dickie" Sluder

Alexander – Richard “Dickie” Sluder, 70, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Mission Hospital.

Dickie was born on October 15, 1951, in Alexander to Harold and Margaret Sluder. He was well known in the community and a friend to many. He was a longtime swimming pool builder and farmer. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Dickie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Shane, Cody (Stephanie), and Shelly (Steven); sister, Suzanne (Doug); brother, Ronnie; five grandchildren and another due in January; and two nephews, one niece, many extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. Gary Fender officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the family.
