Rhoda Jenkins

Sylva - Rhoda Lucille Jenkins, 80, of 146 Vermillian Drive, died Saturday June 22, 2002 at Harris Regional Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Bryson City, she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a daughter of the late Pete and Emma Jane Ball Jenkins and was also preceded in death by her brother, Thurman Jenkins and sister, Rosie Deitz. Surviving are her son, Edward James Jenkins of Asheville; grandson, Eddie Jenkins of Arden; sisters, Pauline Haney and Dora Hawkins both of Asheville and special friend, Clyde Ramsey of Sylva. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Jeffrey Hober officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
