Rex Arrington

Leicester - Ernest Rex Arrington, 70, died Tuesday September 20, 2005 at St. Josephs Hospital following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was of the Baptist Faith. He was a son of the late Bryson Columbus and Okra Emmaline Wallin Arrington and was also preceded in death by a brother, James Everette Arrington and a sister, Pauline Hawkins. Surviving are his sisters, Velda Morgan of Candler, Eva McClure of West Asheville, Mabel Crow and husband Boyce of Black Mountain and Jean Eveleigh and husband Harvey of Gastonia; brothers, Henry Arrington and wife Peggy of West Asheville and J.B. Arrington and wife Wilda of Asheville and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. C.J. Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of J.B. Arrington, 20 Ramsey Road, Asheville.
