Rev. Robert "Wade" Hall, Sr.

Rev. Robert “Wade” Hall, Sr., 76, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the Laurels of Greentree Ridge.

  A native of Hendersonville, he resided in Western North Carolina all his life. Wade and his wife, Gwen, hosted “Nite Line” for 29 years on Channel 16 WGGS-TV until January of 2024. They also founded the Dwelling Place Ministry and Lydia’s Closet Consignment Shop. They also made many mission trips to West Virginia with clothing and toys, and enjoyed traveling, especially on ocean cruises of which they enjoyed more than 17. Wade loved the Lord and serving his community, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

  Wade was a son of the late Robert “Bob” Hall and Geneva Lunsford Hall. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Hall.

  Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Queen Hall; sons: Robert “Wade” Hall, Jr and wife Helen, David Thomas Hall and wife Louise, and Jonathan David Hall and wife Hannah; step-children: Chris Pressley and wife Crystal, April Edwards and husband Joe, and Josh Pressley (Michelle); grandchildren: John, Natalie, Dax, Hudson, Makenzie, Hannah, Tyler, Dillon, Kaycie j, Cameron, Ross, Jolene, Addison, Rylee, Kevin, David, Daniel, Max, Madison, and Trevor; great-grandchildren: Namir, Alena, Jaxton, Boden, Kyrie, Tatum, Lilyana, Rylee, and Sadie; sisters: Linda Caldwell and husband Bobby, and Margie Bland; sister-in-law, Freida Hall; nieces and nephews: Jason Hall, Shannon Frye, Kristie Frye, Tonya Staton, Kim Ellis, and Tiffany Marshall; as well as many extended family and friends.

  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Crossroads Church, 20 S Bear Creek Rd, Asheville, NC 28806, with Rev. Dr. Mike Brown and Rev. Carl Boone officiating. A private burial service will be held at Lewis Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

  The family will receive friends from 5 till 7 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.

  The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Laurels of Greentree Ridge, Haywood Hospice, and Asheville Gastroenterology for their exceptional care for Wade and his family.
