Rev. Dr. Raymond Williams

Asheville Rev. Dr. Raymond Nelson Williams, 64, of Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation & Care Center, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2013. A native and resident of Buncombe County most of his life, he was an ordained Baptist Minister and a member of Emma Baptist Church. Rev. Williams was a son of the late Dennis Arthur Williams and Margaret Lucille Anglin Williams and was also preceded in death by his brother Dennis Eugene Williams. Surviving are his sisters, Shirley Bryant and Joy Edwards and husband Roger all of Asheville; brother, Bob Williams of Weaverville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Chase officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 Noon Wednesday prior to services at the funeral home. A special thanks to the staff at Emerald Ridge for their love and care given to our brother.
