Rev. Alson Alter Mudong

Rev. Alson Alter Mudong, 53, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of Pohnpei, Micronesia, he resided in Asheville since 2015.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alter Mudong and Mihna Minoru Mudong.

Surviving are his wife, Rihner Elias Mudong; children: Alson Mudong, Jr. and wife Rumeleen, Rosemihna Mudong, and Shaniece Mudong and husband Rutick Kulat; grandson, Alter Mudong; siblings: Ricky Mudong and wife Marlihse, Almina Mudong, Mayomina Mudong Kapiriel and husband Ketlerson, Rickson Mudong and wife Resida, and David Mudong and wife Roleen, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Saturday, August 3, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with visitation from 1 PM to 4 PM.
