Regina Morgan Anders

Regina Morgan Anders, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Cage Morgan and Mary Ruth Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Anders who passed away in 1975. Mrs. Anders retired from the Buncombe County School District and was a long-time member of Sunny Side Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are her children: Lisa Anders Odom and husband Jeffrey of Leicester, Marlan Anders Harris and husband Roger of Candler, Julian Delbert Anders and wife Kimberly of Leicester, and Thomas Jeffery Anders and wife Peggy of Asheville; grandchildren: Lucas Edward Silver, Jordan Alan Silver, Amber Nicole Anders, and Rebekah Marie Anders; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Kate Morgan Crook of Douglasville, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Revs. Paul Sanchez and Dean Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 till 2 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
