Asheville - Ray Yogi Curtis, 69, of 15 Ben Lippen Rd., Lot #16 died Monday, October 22, 2001 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Muscatine, Iowa, he had resided in Asheville for the past 13 years. He retired in 1988 as a Feed Salesman for Kent Feed Co. and he was a member of the Asheville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Curtis was a son of the late Charles Edward and Leona Beatrice Fowler Curtis and was the husband of the late Shirley Mae Parks Curtis who died on August 28, 2000. Surviving are his sons, Michael R. Curtis of Muscatine, Iowa and Kristopher K. Curtis of Macomb, IL; daughter, Kimberly Kay Real of San Antonio, TX; god child, Jessica Raymer of Charlotte, NC; sister, Rosalee Yerrington of Muscatine, Iowa; brothers, C. Richard Curtis and Robert S. Curtis both of Muscatine, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, and a host of church family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the Asheville Pentecostal Holiness Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to the Asheville Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 215 Long Shoals Rd., Arden, NC 28704.
