“Pippa” Carita Georgiana Clarke Dolen, 84, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
A native of Asheville, she was born on February 24, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Peggy Medora Eatmon, and wife of the late Bruce John Dolen who passed away in 1995.
Her career highlights are immense. She is best known for the success of starting Skyland
Prosthetics with her husband in 1979. She and her husband started the business without a dime in their pocket but an abundance of passion for providing great care to the people of western NC. Their business is still thriving with that same passion through their son Shaun and his wife Felicia!
Pippa proudly graduated from Lee Edwards High School in 1959. After high school she attended Furman University and pursued a major in English. She was always happy to share her English knowledge with those around her. “Just look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls”.
Pippa felt life should be experienced without boundaries! She accepted no limits and made sure to paint the journey with incredible color and style!
Pippa was always willing to go over the top for those that needed help and never forgot a soul. The lives she touched will remember her forever!
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Shaun Dolen, his wife Felicia Dolen; The Family of Skyland Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc. and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Rash officiating. A small graveside committal service will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
