Phillip Clyde Marshall

June 20, 1958 — September 13, 2022

Phillip Clyde Marshall, 64, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.


A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Cecil Franklin Marshall and Juanita Jackson Marshall. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Rathbone and her husband Tom; and a brother, Cecil Marshall.


Phillip was a U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Veteran and worked for Hubble Manufacturing until retirement.


Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Donna Capps Marshall; children: Paul Capps, Jeffery Capps, Amanda Johnson, and Amanda Marshall; sister, Linda Gail Marshall; brother, Tommy Marshall and his wife Donna; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.


A memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be interred at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain at a later date.
