Penny Williams

Asheville - Roberta Catherine Penny Clayton Williams, 77, formerly of 7 Warren Avenue went to be with her Lord, Monday, June 20, 2005 at her residence. A native of Transylvania County. She had resided in Buncombe County since 1932. Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late James Elbert Jones and Jamie Gertrude Rogers Jones and the wife of Ray Bill Williams who died June 4, 2004. She was a homemaker and attended Covenant Community United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Lee Karrigan of Jacksonville, FL and Donna Ray Prinz & husband, D. Keith Prinz of Fairview; son, Charles Gordon Jones & wife, Brenda of Montgomery, AL; brother, Jerry Beck of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kimberly McDonald, Brian McDonald, Heather McDonald, Michael McDonald, William Jones, David Jones and Joshua Prinz and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Covenant Community UMC with Pastor Buzz Scott officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oakley. Pallbearers will be Charles Jones, Josh Prinz, Keith Prinz, Henry Prinz, Tommy Williams and Joe Williams. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
