Peggy Bugg Farlow

Peggy Jane Bugg Farlow, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at her granddaughter’s residence while surrounded by her family.

 A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Hezekiah Bugg and Sallie Marie Houston Bugg, and wife of the late Vernon Everette Farlow who passed away on December 13, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Megan Masaki.

 Peggy lived a life of serving others, having worked as a Nurse Assistant at the Asheville Orthopedic Hospital and later in the Floral Department of Harris Teeter until her retirement in the late 1990’s. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

 Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Becky Masaki and husband Glenn, Susie English and husband Bobby, Joe Farlow, and Tony Farlow; grandchildren: Celeste Patton and husband Jason, Jennifer Farlow Bellomy and husband Jake, Jessica Farlow, Derrick Masaki, and Sheena Masaki Gossett; great-grandchildren: Noah Cantrell, Emanul Cantrell, Gray Patton, Bryson Connolly, Brinley Bellomy, Adelyn Bellomy, Jayden Masaki, Kai Masaki, Haley Doan, Kendyl Gossett, and Kaleia Gossett; brother, Ted Bugg; nephews: Travis Bugg, and Garrett Bugg; lifelong friend, Sharon Anders; and many extended family.

 Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Garrett Bugg officiating.

 The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her granddaughter and her husband, Celeste and Jason, for their exceptional caregiving and love shown to their grandmother over the past year, and to the staff of Four Seasons Hospice for their loving support over the past several weeks.
