Paul Hobson

Lawrence Paul Hobson, 70, of 4 Spring Glen Road, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at his home. A native of Orange County, IN, he had resided in Buncombe County for the past 25 years. He was Owner & Operator of Hobson Construction and was a Vietnam US Army veteran. Mr. Hobson was a son of the late Charles T. Hobson and Mary Ethel Holland Hobson and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Buddy, Bobby and Michael Hobson and sisters, Mary, Delores, Marie, Jean and Betty. Surviving are his wife whom he married October 25, 1985, Linda Hobson of the home; children, Kimberly Apple of Asheville, Amanda Hobson of Phenix City, AL, Jeremy Trotter and wife, Rachel of Asheville, Ashley Hobson of Phenix City, AL and Christopher Hobson and wife, Ashley of Asheville; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Jo Ann Buetel of Paoli, IN, Carol Allen and husband, Glen of Brookville, FL and Patricia Richards and husband, Larry of Orleans, IN; brothers, George Hobson and wife, Kim of Paoli, IN and David Hobson and wife, Barbara of Campbellsburg, IN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with military honors to be conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Memorial Team of which he was a member, and the NC National Guard Honor Guard.
