Patsy “Pat” Tipton Kuykendall, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Mission Hospital.
A native of Madison County, she resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Monroe Tipton and Armintha Waldroup Tipton and wife of the late William Hollingsworth Kuykendall, Jr. who passed away on October 8, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Ted Tipton, Bobby Tipton, and Hilda Cody.
Pat worked for Square D for more than 35 years until retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her yard, especially riding her mower and cutting grass.
Surviving are her son, Jeff Kuykendall and wife Myra; siblings: Judy Rigsby and husband Ron, Doug Tipton, and Ronnie Tipton and wife LaVale; sister-in-law, Rosemary Kuykendall-Rice and husband Mike Rice; brother-in-law, Doug Kuykendall; aunt, Maude Waldroup; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Waldroup and Pastor Jeff Massey officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
Pat’s body will lie-in-state at Anders-Rice Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 AM until 1:30 PM.
