Patricia Whitlock Jackson

Asheville - Patricia Lee Whitlock Jackson, 72, died Friday December 13, 2002 at Magnolia Health Care Center after an extended illness. She was born in Staunton, VA on June 22, 1930. She was a daughter of Virginia Dickinson Whitlock of Waukesha, WI. and the late Weldon Fendol Whitlock. On July 16, 1971 she married Scott Jackson, who preceded her in death. She attended Virginia Intermont College after graduating from Clayton High School in St. Louis, MO, at the age of 16. She was employed as a tourism director and convention planner before her retirement and was involved in the permanent mooring of the Yorktown in Charleston, SC. Surviving in addition to her mother are her sisters, Priscilla Lan Whitlock of Waukesha, WI and Paige Reichardt and husband, Karl of Valparaiso, IN and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at a later date in Clifton Forge, VA. The family request memorials may be directed to: Magnolia Health Care Center, 455 Victoria Street, Asheville, NC 28801, in gratitude for the loving care given Patricia during her illness.
