Patricia "Pat" Edwards

Patricia “Pat” Ann Townsend Edwards, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Haywood Regional Medical Center.

 A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Leonard Townsend and Elsie Elizabeth Roberts Townsend, and wife of the late Roger Dale Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Dale Edwards, and brother, Robert “Bobby” Townsend.

 Pat cherished her family and friends, always showing concern for everyone around her and praying for those she loved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

 Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Ramona Edwards; sister-in-law, Sandra Townsend; nephews: Jeremiah Townsend, Josh Townsend, and Jason Wallace; god-daughter, Haley Townsend; great niece, Skyler Townsend; great nephew, Brady Townsend; great-great nephew, Tate Robert Austin; special friends: Debbie Setzer, Ashley Greene, Massey Worley, Locke and Nancy Hyatt, and Jan and Stan Clontz; caregivers: Joann Coates, and Beulah Freck; and many extended family and friends.

 Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

 The family will receive friends from 10 till 10:45 AM on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
