Pansy Radford Chandler

June 1, 1913 — July 6, 2003

Candler - Pansy Radford Chandler, 90, of 32 Overlook Drive went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2003. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Chandler was a member of Erwin Hills Baptist Church and a daughter of the late James Henry and Fannie Mae Buckner Radford. She was the wife of the late Samuel Jones Chandler and was also preceded in death by her sister Evalee Thomas formerly of Asheville. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Chandler Murray and husband, Cecil of Candler, grandchildren, Gloria Murray Cobb of Asheville and Scott Murray and wife, Pamela of Charlotte, great-grandchildren Matthew Chandler Cobb, Samuel Alexander Cobb, Grace Elise Murray and Julia Dare Murray. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Houston officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
