Asheville – Oscar Samuel Clark Jr., 77, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Born and raised in Suffolk Va, he left the Suffolk community that he loved so much to embark on life’s adventures. He Joined the Air Force at the age of 19 honorably serving as a fire protection specialist for four years, gaining the rank of sergeant before leaving the service. Oscar had a passion for working with his hands working as a machinist for most of his life. He loved spending time with his family and attending services at Groce United Methodist Church in Asheville.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Clark (Lily); Daughter, Allison Trujillo (Andy); Sister, Pat Clark Gills; Grandchildren: Anastasia Fallon Trujillo, Anthony Clark, and Lancelot Clark; great-grandchildren: Alexander Clark, and Hudson Clark; along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Samuel Clark Sr. and Christine Joyner; and his wife of 57 years, Nancy Allison Clark.
Service’s will be held on Monday April 8, 2024 at noon in the chapel of the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with the United States Airforce presenting honors.
