Oma Sharpe

Leicester - Oma Francis Goodnough Sharpe, 83, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Del Rio, TN, Mrs. Sharpe had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She retired from Square D, and loved making crafts, and selling them at local craft shows. Mrs. Sharpe was the daughter of the late William Clinton and Cecil Caldwell Goodnough. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Lee DeSha; grandson, Justin Vance DeSha-Overcash; sister, Alice Lawson; and brother, Norman Goodnough. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Roy Vance Sharpe; children: Michael DeSha, Karen DeSha, Ronald DeSha, Derrick DeSha, and Joe Sharpe; and grandchildren: Madisen, Lauren, Jeremy, Michael, Brandon, and Jessie. Per Mrs. Sharpes request, no funeral services will be held at this time. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Sharpes family.
