Leicester - Ollie Ada Hensley Carver, 87, of 544 Green Valley Rd. died Saturday, March 29, 2003 at her residence. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1946. She was a member of Newfound Baptist Church. Mrs. Carver was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Harriet Valentine Rice Hensley and was the wife of the late T. Clarence Carver who died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her great grandson, David Grace Carver, sisters, Bertha Sexton, Clemmie Loyd and Ava LoFaro, and brothers, Grant, Vernon, Arnold and O.B. Hensley. Surviving are her children, Dr. W. Louie Carver and wife Mary of Wichita Falls, TX, Christine Williams and husband Jack, Barbara Hague and husband Wayne, Kyle Carver and wife Judy and Julian Carver and wife Peggy all of Leicester; sister, Mabel Maley of Fishkill, NY; brother, L.J. Hensley of Asheville; grandchildren, Jeffery and Dwight Williams, Pam Snyder, Charity Sawyer, Rebecca Hendon, Tim Carver, Angela, Andrea, Dan and Brian Hague, David and Mark Carver, Mitch and Aaron Carver; 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Newfound Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Ball, Rev. Ebb Jenkins, Dr. W. Louie Carver, Rev. Dwight Williams and Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
