Nellie S. Roberson

Asheville - Nellie Iris Sosebee Rhinehardt Roberson, 90, of 170 Elkwood Avenue died Wednesday July 3, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a period of declining health. A natiave of Habersham County, Ga. she had lived most of her younger life in Gastonia then 2 years in Waynesville before moving to Buncombe County in 1956. She had been an active member of Newbridge Baptist Church since 1956. She was a daughter of the late Isaac and Ruth Sellers Sosebee and the wife of the late W. G. Rhinehardt and G. L. Roberson. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Hensley of Southern Pines, Dorcas Moffitt and husband Bobby of Leicester and Joann Wallace and husband Bill of Youngsville; sons, Howard Rhinehardt and wife Betty of Charlotte and Oakie Rhinehardt of Boca Raton, Fl.; step-sons, Hugh Roberson and Jack Roberson and wife Betty of Asheville; sisters, Lilly Moose and Edith Joyner both of Gastonia; brothers, Joe Sosebee of Boiling Springs and Frank Sosebee of Gastonia; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before services at the funeral home.
