Nell Roberts

Nell Rae Rice Roberts, 76, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native and resident for most of her life of Buncombe County, Mrs. Roberts had resided with her daughter in Bulls Gap, TN for the past year. She had formerly attended Covenant United Methodist Church. Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late Ralph Carl and Helen Marjorie Corn Rice, and the wife of John Hugh Roberts, who passed away December 14, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Digidali Eagle Walking Stick Frizsell. Surviving are her daughter, Darlene Frizsell and husband Michael of Bulls Gap, TN; grandson, Jeffrey Frizsell of Bulls Gap; great-granddaughter, the joy of Nannys life, Graci Frizsell; step-great-grandson, Alden Wyke of Wilmington, NC; brother, William Rice and wife Brenda of Fletcher; sisters in law, Wanda Mount and husband, Paul of Fairview and Cathy Roberts of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
