Nell Green Roland Sikorski

Asheville - Nell Green Roland Sikorski, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her home. A resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, Mrs. Sikorski retired from Mission Hospitals as a Nursing Assistant following 40 years of service. She was a member of Asheville North Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Sikorski was the daughter of the late Willard and Mae Miller Green. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Ward Roland; four sisters, and one brother. Surviving are her husband, Walter M. Sikorski; children: Ward Roland, Jr., Donald Roland, Janet Jacobson, and Ginger Bell; grandchildren: Teresa Posey, Timothy Roland, Amber Simard, Walter Jacobson, Joseph Jacobson, Daniel Spitler, and Betsy Spitler; great-grandchildren: Aubrey Chance, Abbey Chance, and Gracie Posey; sister, Mary Gillen; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Pastor Dennis Uffindell officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 7:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
