Nell Butler Buckner

Candler - Nell Butler Buckner, 76, of 103 Oak Hill Road, died Tuesday October 1, 2002 at Mountain Area Hospice. A native of Buncombe County, she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Balfour Troy and Roberta Mary Gillespie Butler and wife of the late H. B. Buckner, Jr. Surviving are her daughters, Ann Zyki of Roanoke, VA, Judy Ball and husband, Gene of Santee, SC and Mary Reynolds of Asheville; grandson, Stephen Ball. The family wishes a grateful thank you to friend and niece, Sandi Thomas and all other relatives and friends who touched the life of Mrs. Buckner and her family. The family would also like to thank the staff of Mountain Area Hospice for their loving care. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike McMahan, Larry McMahan, David Lankford, Dwight Ducker, Chip McFarland, Burke Williams, Lonnie Thomas ad Theron Lance.
