Neal Eugene Sanders

Neal Eugene Sanders, 72, passed away early Sunday morning, April 5, 2015. He is spending Easter in heaven. He was born to the late Ed & Ruth Sanders on February 15, 1943, and is also preceded in death by his first wife Pat Fair Sanders, and his brother, Cecil Sanders. He retired from Southern Concrete after 38 years of service. Neal was a kind and generous man, helping anyone who needed him. He is survived by his wife, Doris Sanders; sons: Timothy Sanders of Swannanoa, and Tommy Sanders(Terri) of Enka-Candler; step daughters: Mary Kinney of Leicester, Sharon Braswell (Toby) of West Asheville; brothers: Leland Sanders (Linda) of Asheville, Leroy Sanders (Phyllis) of Leicester, and Kenneth Sanders (Donna) of Leicester; sister, Shirley Harwood (Don) of Old Fort; mother & father-in-law: Ray & Bonnie Buckner of Enka-Candler; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
