Morris Ervin Williams

Asheville - Morris Ervin Williams, 76, 0f 63 Pisgah View Rd. died Thursday, September 27, 2001 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Luther Martin Williams and Bertha Cordell Williams. He was an US Navy Veteran of WW II, serving on the USS Pullix. He was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church and was retired from Square D. Surviving are his wife, Ivorine Sumner Williams of the home; son, Morris Tony Williams and wife Regina of Asheville; daughter, Brenda Williams Reed and husband Terry of Leicester; sister, Martha Redmon of Asheville; grandchildren, Michael Jay Williams, Brandon Christopher Williams, and Joshua Douglas Williams; niece, Sharon Brown; nephew, Rich Redmon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ken Lewis and Lester Crayton officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with military graveside rites conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council/Volunteer Memorial Team.
