Miles Etheridge Webb, Jr.

Asheville – Miles Etheridge Webb, Jr., 83, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 19, 2022. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Miles Etheridge Webb, Sr. and Anna Mary Walker Webb. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Webb, and infant sister, Catherine Ann Webb. Mr. Webb dedicated his life to the service of Asheville and Buncombe County through a lifelong career in law enforcement with the Asheville Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriffs Office. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years, Diana Mullinnix Webb; children: Miles Stanley Webb and wife Shanna, and Cassie Webb all of Asheville; grandchildren: Saxon Budd Webb, Madison Paige Webb Shook and husband Austin; Miles William Webb, Evan Kelling, and Riley Kelling; great-grandchildren: Wrenley Blake Shook, and Scarlett Blair Shook; sister-in-law, Robin Lunsford and husband Scott; nieces: Jennifer Metter and husband Stan, Suzanne Mullinnix, and Jessica Lunsford Bond and husband Ian; nephews: Chad Everette Webb and wife Kimberly, and Dane Lunsford; and many extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 10, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Tim Warren officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
