ASHEVILLE - MILDRED SARAH MAXWELL JONES, 74, OF 525 ELIADA HOME ROAD, DIED SATURDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2001 AT MOUNTAIN AREA HOSPICE. A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF BUNCOMBE COUNTY. SHE HAD RETIRED FROM SWANNANOA CLEANERS AFTER 17 YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF WESTWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE SHE TAUGHT THE JR. DEPARTMENT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF CLYDE LEEMAN SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS, THE AUXILIARY OF THE BROTHERHOOD OF RAILROAD TRAINMEN AND FORMER SECRETARY OF W.M.U. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE ROBERT HENRY AND DELLA CASE MAXWELL. SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND J.B. JONES WHO DIED IN 1996. SURVIVING ARE HER SON, MICHAEL JONES AND WIFE SHERRI OF ASHEVILLE; GRANDSONS, MICHAEL AARON JONES AND MARCUS ADAM JONES AND GRANDDAUGHTER, TIFFANY ELIZABETH JONES ALL OF ASHEVILLE. FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 P.M. MONDAY IN THE ANDERS-RICE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL WITH THE REV. DENNIS PITTS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN ASHELAWN GARDENS OF MEMORY. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FROM 7 TO 9:00 P.M. SUNDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
