Mildred Barnett Corn

Pisgah Forest - Mildred Barnett Corn, 96, formerly of Old Hendersonville Hwy. went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at New London Health Care Center, Snellville, GA. A native of Transylvania County, she was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church and she had volunteered many hours with the Transylvania Community Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Corn was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Myrtle Lee Carland Barnett and was the wife of the late Charles Luther C.L. Corn. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Garland and Mayo Barnett. Surviving are her son, Charles Thomas Tom Corn and wife Linda of Snellville, GA; sister, Mary B. Monteith of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Charles Davis Corn and wife Sheila of Loganville, GA and Terry Elizabeth Guin and husband Gene of Conyers, GA; great grandchildren, Matt, Trey, Amanda and Eric; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Owen and Charles Bratu officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matt Guin, Trey Guin, Gary Monteith, John T. Monteith, Wes Monteith, John H. Monteith, Vince Stone and Tommy Barnett.
