Mike Harris

Candler Charles Michael Mike Harris, born August 3, 1957, gone to Heaven April 13, 2015. Beloved husband, father and papaw, he was adored by his family and friends. Mike was owner of Smokey Mountain Masonry for 25 years and employee of Eaton Corp for the past 4 years. He was a gifted drummer, avid golfer and loved spending time on the lake with his family. He was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. Mike loved Jesus and in his last days, impacted many lives with his faith and courage. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Harris; mother, Martha Grooms and brother, Ricky Harris. Surviving are his wife, Janice; son Lukeus Harris and wife Lori; grandsons, Tyson and Colton; daughter, Stacie Shell; granddaughter, Hailey and grandson, Elijah; sister, Sheila Patton; beloved in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 17, 2015 at Pole Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will follow in Snow Hill UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
