Michael Evans

Candler – Michael Evans, 47, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. A native of Forsythe County, he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. Michael graduated from Erwin High School in 1991 and was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Sharper Image Auto Cleaning and Evans Rental. Michael was a Christian, who loved the Lord, and his family and friends. He cared about others and would always be willing to help a friend in need. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Benny Kivett. Surviving are his father, Dale Evans and wife Nancy of Alexander; mother, Donna Sheffield Kivett of Asheboro; sisters: Michelle Chriscoe and Husband David and their daughter Courtney Chriscoe, and Kim Evans and Mitch Brown all of Asheboro; brother, Jeremy Wilson and Wife Deborah of Leicester; his beloved dog and best friend, Jake Evans; and by many extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held 12pm Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. and Rev Norris Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Face masks and social distancing will be required. The family will not receive friends due to COVID-19, however a viewing will be at the church on Saturday from 10 AM till 12 PM. Pallbearers will be the employees of Sharper Image Auto Cleaning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to: Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
