Melvin Earl Webb

Leicester - Melvin Earl Webb, 73, formerly of Dix Creek #1 died Saturday February 10, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital after a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late William Alonzo and Hattie Cox Webb. He was the husband of the late Mary Frances Stines Webb. Surviving are his sons, Keith Webb and wife Audrey of Alexander and Ray Dean Webb and wife Karen of Marshall; sister, Edna Meeker and husband Paul of Asheville; brothers, J. R. Mutt Webb and wife Ruth of Leicester and Charles Webb of Leicester; 6 grandchildren, Todd, Donald, Anita, Kristen, Hannah and Byron Webb; special nephew, Calvin Stines and wife Carol of Asheville and lifelong friend and fishing partner, Bruce Morgan of Dix Creek #2, Leicester. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Corinth Baptist Church with the Revs. Wade Zachary and Joel Burton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M.
