After his lifelong pursuit of a left handed biscuit and a footlong hamburger Melton Eugene Sizemore, 78, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Aston Park Healthcare Center.
He was a native of Mecklenburg County, worked at the VA Hospital as a supply tech, was a member of Connection Point Church of God, and was a veteran of the US Marines.
He was a son of the late Clayton Sizemore and Mozella Lindsey Sizemore; and was also preceded in death by his siblings: Butch Sizemore, and Margie Chester.
Surviving are his wife, Vickie Bagwell Sizemore; children: Kathy Taylor, and Traci Dove and husband Mike; 7 grandsons and 1 grandprincess; 10 great-grandkids; siblings: Roy Sizemore and wife Susan, and Dianne Chester and husband Dale; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Connection Point Church, with Paston Stan Asher officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 PM Thursday prior to services at the church.
