Maude Flynn Griffin

February 20, 1924 — September 12, 2002

Asheville - Maude Flynn Griffin, 78, of 25 Winding Rd. died Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Health System. A native of Henderson County, she had been employed by Mills Manufacturing and had attended Biltmore Church of God. Mrs. Griffin was the daughter of the late John and Ina Summey Flynn and was the wife of the late Edwin Griffin who died April 10, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd and Looney Flynn. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Griffin of Asheville; son, Steve Griffin and wife Alice of Asheville; grandchildren, Steve E. Griffin, Torri Griffin Bowman and husband Danny, and Michael E. Griffin all of Asheville; great grandchildren, Avery and Trevor Bowman; sisters, Marie Scarborough of Hendersonville and Louise Norris of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Monday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Daniel and Marjorie Allen officiating. Burial will be in Pattys Chapel Cemetery, Fletcher. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Special thanks to the Oncology Dept. at St. Josephs Hospital for their kind, loving care from the doctors, nursing staff and housekeeping.
