Matthew Loring Blom Shiver

Leicester – Matthew Loring Blom Shiver, 45, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 10, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Fairfax County, VA, he resided in the Leicester Community. Matthew served as the Chief Operations Officer for Event Pro, a company he helped build alongside the owner, Nick Pignetti, a man who became Matt’s best friend. Matthew was so very proud of his children and all their accomplishments. He also enjoyed working with his hands through woodworking and building his own little homestead where he grew food in the garden and raised chickens. Matthew was also extremely talented in music and had the ability to pick up and play any instrument. He built many relationships within the musical community, especially near Baltimore, MD, where he spent most of his life.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Julius William Shiver and Hilda Catherine Shiver, and maternal grandparents: Arthur Ralph Blom and Kathryn Ruth Blom; and by his dog, Chopper.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 10 years, Amber Lynn Cebula Shiver; children: Tyler Matthew James and wife Mariana, and Jillian Rose; father, Loring Eugene “Chance” Shiver and step-mother, Susette Carter Shiver; Mother, Kathryn Ruth “Kate” Blom; brother, Ian Loring Shiver; step-brothers: Duane Mueller and wife Arissa, and Jesse Mueller; step nieces and nephew: Logan and Ava; beloved dogs: Leto “Piggy” and Ava; and many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
