Mary Lou Gentry

Asheville - Mary Lou Benfield Gentry, 88, went home to be with the Angels on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Gentry was the daughter of the late Eldridge H. and Stella L. Vardeman Benfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Claude W. Gentry. She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Keenan and husband Jack; sons: Ron Gentry and wife Pat, and Rusty Gentry and wife Ruth; grandchildren: Rodney Keenan, Samantha Brock and husband Danny, Todd Gentry and wife Chloe, Bracken Gentry and wife Sarah Beth, Erin Lane and husband Brandon, and Jessica Steelman;and great-grandchildren: Colt Brock, Penelope Gentry, Daphne Gentry, Adler Gentry, Riley Lane, and newborn great-grandson, Daxton Gentry. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 2:30 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
