Mary Lee Hatton

Mills River – Mary Lee Luther Hatton, 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she worked for over 30 years at Bon Worth Clothing Mfg, and was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hatton was a daughter of the late Paul Emmery Luther and Geneva Pinkerton Luther. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hatton and sister, Rose Lee Burris Williams.

Surviving are her sister, Eula Grimes of Mills River; nieces, Linda Burris and Donna Simpson; nephews, Kevin Burris and wife Rhonda and Emery Burris and wife Wilma Lee and her beloved 3 dogs, Bo, Pewee and Peanut.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 15, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 AM Monday at the funeral home.
