Candler Mary Jo Chapman Foster, 80, of 90 Israel Road, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Haywood County, she had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life and retired as a registered nurse at Memorial Mission Hospital and was formerly employed with Asheville Pregnancy Center. She attended Vineyard Christian Fellowship, was a member of New Morgan Baptist Church and was a 1960 graduate of Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, TN with her degree in nursing. Mrs. Foster was a daughter of the late Ruth Bugg Chapman and wife of Cruso Fouts who died in June 1979 and George Foster who died in March 1985. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Bill Plemmons. Surviving are her sisters, Barbara Plemmons of Candler and Tamara Trull and husband David of Woodstock, GA; nieces, Bethany Robinson and Cindy Anderson (Paul); nephew, Michael Trull (Lori); great nieces and nephews, Sierra Robinson, Meredith Robinson, McKenzie Mathis (Dillon), Christian Lovingood, Tori Lovingood, Anna Trull and Drew Trull and great-great niece, Harper Creasman. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Mike Riddle and Larry Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
