Mary Alice Lewis Elingburg

Skyland - Mary Alice Lewis Elingburg, 83, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care. A native of Fredonia, KY, she had lived in Buncombe County since 1957. She was a member of Skyland Baptist Church and was retired from Taylor Instruments. Mrs. Elingburg was the daughter of the late Shirdie Virgil Lewis and Ruth Anna Belt Hunt and was the wife of the late James Louis Elingburg, who died in 1992. Surviving are her daughters, Betty Dotson and husband Stanley of Fairview and Sharon Rice and husband Jerry of Leicester; son, Martin Green of Tryon; grandchildren, Pam and Eric Dotson, Steven, Shari and Kayla Rice; great grandchildren, Nikki, Malina, Kyle, Ariana and Raven. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Skyland Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry Brindley and Dr. Carl Mintz officiating. Burial will be in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
