Martin Roland "Marty" Jones

Candler - Martin Marty Roland Jones, 45, of 16 Poplar Acres Dr., Candler, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at Mission Hospitals after an extended illness. A native of Hendersonville, NC, Marty lived in Colorado, California, Alabama and Tennessee before settling in Western North Carolina 20 years ago. He and his wife and daughters are members of Unity Church of Fletcher. Marty was a valued member of the management team at Eaton of Fletcher for many years before early retirement due to illness. Marty is survived by his caregiving wife, the former Brenda Dunlap of Paris, TN; two daughters, Katie, a student at Guilford College, Greensboro and Jonahs Sarah-Annah of the home. He is also survived by his grateful parents, Roland R. and Irene Crowder Jones of High Point; a close brother, Eric R. Jones of Hendersonville; a compassionate sister, Gloria Gigi Moon and her husband Steve of Lebanon, TN; a special nephew, Ryan Eric Jones, a doctor of medicine student, of Whittier, CA; his loving maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edith Randolph Crowder of Hendersonville and a great host of other relatives and friends. Rev. Dr. Roland R. Jones will lead a Christ-honoring and a heaven-home going service for his beloved son at 10 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Ave., Asheville, NC.
