Martha Price

Asheville – Martha Lee Brown Price, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Aston Park Health Care Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Gordon Brown and Faye Penland Burris. She was also preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Jack Price; sister, Carolyn Christine Lewis; and granddaughter, Nichole Cogdill.

Mrs. Price retired from Square D Corporation in 1995 following 17 years of service. She was a longtime member of Sunrise Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Surviving are her children: Jerry Price and wife Carolyn of Asheville, Rodney Price and wife Chari of Arden, Bruce Price and wife Phyllis of Rotonda West, FL, and Elaine Williams and husband Don of Fletcher; grandchildren: Blake Price and wife Shae, Austin Price and wife Juli, Alexa Baldwin and husband Michael, Justin Fisher and wife Tiffany, and Mikey Baldwin; great-grandchildren: Kaiya Price, Luca Price, Ellie Baldwin, Charlie Baldwin, Hunter Price, Kainen Fisher, Kourtney Coxe, and Colby Coxe; half-brother, Larry Brown and wife Debi of Edneyville; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Aston Park Health Care Center for their exceptional care and support given to Mrs. Price and her family.
